Picnic Shelter

Do you want a nice picnic shelter in Foxhall Park? Many Foxhall residents do. Questionnaire preferences and general comments from Foxhall Community Association members show strong support for a picnic shelter. A picnic shelter is a simple roof structure with no side walls, similar to the example rendering below. With a shelter we anticipate residents can get more use out our community owned park. A covered structure means the park can be enjoyed rain or shine! Foxhall Park can be enjoyed by more residents and more often with a picnic shelter as a good central meeting place.

Please help Raise The Roof in 2022.

This is our call to action for a second round of generous donations to buy the materials.

Please join our team of volunteers and share in the fun.  This is a community barn raising project: cash donations buy the materials and volunteers donate their labor, skills, tools, and equipment.

Foxhall’s 40-year dream is becoming a reality to be enjoyed by residents for many years.

We need our second round donations to meet estimated costs of roughly $22,000. The Foxhall Board has budgeted another $3,000 for 2022, leaving $19,000 to be raised through donations.

Every little bit helps.  No donation is too small.  Your picnic shelter committee is thinking up some fun rewards for our donors and volunteers.

Timber prices keep going up, largely due to pandemic supply chain and demand.  We are hopeful prices drop some by summer 2022 when we Raise The Roof.
